The sequence of removing the hydraulic cylinder and its precautions

When the hydraulic cylinder fails, we need to remove it, repair or replace it. Before removing the hydraulic cylinder, depressurize the hydraulic circuit. Otherwise, when the pipeline connected to the cylinder is loose, the high-pressure oil in the circuit will be sprayed out quickly. When the hydraulic circuit is decompressed, loosen the pressure adjusting screw on the handwheel or overflow valve to remove the pressure oil, and then cut off the power to stop the hydraulic device.

Please follow the order when disassembling. Due to the different structures and sizes of various hydraulic cylinders, the disassembly sequence is slightly different. Under normal circumstances, the hydraulic oil in the double chamber should be drained, then the cylinder head should be removed, and then the piston and piston rod should be removed. When disassembling the cylinder head of the hydraulic cylinder, use special tools for the card or snap ring connected by the internal card.

During this process, the use of flat shovel is prohibited. For flange type end caps, screws must be used to push out. Hammering or hard beating is not allowed. When the piston and piston rod are difficult to withdraw, they must not be ejected forcibly. Please find out the specific reason carefully before disassembling. When disassembling, prevent damage to the top line of the piston rod, the oil port, the surface of the piston rod, and the inner wall of the cylinder liner. In order to prevent the elongated member such as the piston rod from being bent or deformed, the balance of the wooden support is applied during placement.

Before and after the hydraulic cylinder is unloaded, try to create conditions to prevent the hydraulic cylinder parts from being contaminated by surrounding dust and impurities. For example, the disassembly should be carried out in a clean environment as much as possible; after disassembly, all parts should be covered with plastic cloth, not cotton cloth or other work cloths.

After disassembling the gas cylinder, check carefully to determine which parts can be used continuously, which parts can be used after repair, and which parts must be replaced.
